About the congress
The only basketball-specific congress held in Europe, back in Huelva.

More than twenty years
The Iberian Basketball Congress began in 2001 and is held every two years, alternating between Spain and Portugal. Since its eighth edition it has run alongside the Ibero-American Basketball Congress, widening the meeting to the academic and professional community across Ibero-America.
Huelva hosted the 2016 edition under the theme “Challenges of 21st-century basketball”, organised by the University of Huelva. In 2027 it returns to the province.

What happens
Keynote sessions, oral communications, posters, practical workshops and open clinics. Accepted work is published in the book of abstracts with an ISBN, and the strongest is forwarded to indexed journals.
